Questions about reception coverage
How do you keep the reception stage-photo queue moving?
A little planning goes a long way: a family member who knows the guests helps call groups up in order, and we keep the lighting and positions fixed so each group takes seconds rather than minutes. We’ll talk through this with you before the day.
Can we have couple portraits at the reception?
Yes. The best time is usually before guests arrive, when the stage and décor are fresh and you’re not yet tired. Fifteen minutes is enough for a lovely set.
The hall lighting is very colourful. Will our photos look strange?
Coloured stage and LED lighting is common, and it can turn skin tones odd. We balance it with our own lighting and correct it carefully in editing so you look like yourselves.
Is the reception covered if we book wedding photography?
Only if it’s included in your quote — some families hold the reception on a different day or in a different city. Tell us all your events and we’ll include what you need.
